Support Services for Families

Services 

The Woodley Rose Project is developing practical, respectful and trauma-informed support for men and their children affected by family violence.

Community drop-in support

A proposed safe and welcoming place for information, practical assistance and referrals for men and their children. Help understanding and completing housing, Centrelink and other service-related forms. This is not legal advice.

Peer and lived-experience support

Respectful, non-judgmental support informed by lived experience, where every man is heard and his experiences are taken seriously.

Practical assistance

Planned access to essential items such as toiletries, clothing, food, children’s books and toys, subject to availability.

Information, intake and needs assessment

Planned appointments to understand each man’s circumstances, immediate needs and appropriate support options.

Proposed Services 

Subject to the successful completion and evaluation of our pilot programs, sustainable funding, appropriate facilities, regulatory requirements and community partnerships, we hope to develop the following services:
